The New York Times featured SportVue in a December 8, 2003 column by the paper's renown technology reporter John Markoff. As Markoff points out, "the cost of producing such [heads-up] displays was prohibitively high a decade ago . . . but Motion Research will be the first company to attempt a truly low-cost consumer application." The New York Times has a print circulation of almost 2 million, plus another 11 million who regularly read the NYTimes.com website.
